HND offers a variety of programs focused on addressing the needs of the Hmong American community through education, advocacy, and leadership development. These programs are designed to empower individuals and organizations by fostering civic engagement, economic empowerment, and cultural preservation.
HND’s advocacy efforts focus on elevating Hmong voices at the national level, addressing issues such as immigration, healthcare access, and educational equity. Through leadership development, HND provides training, mentorship, and resources that equip community members with the skills necessary to take on leadership roles across sectors.
HND prioritizes capacity building, working in collaboration with over 80 organizations to strengthen the operational capabilities of local Hmong nonprofits. These efforts ensure that community-based organizations are well-positioned to serve the Hmong population effectively. Additionally, research and policy advocacy remain central to HND’s mission, driving informed decisions on public policy that impact the Hmong community across the United States.
