Hmong National Development, Inc. (HND) is a national, 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization.
HND was founded in 1993 to address the unique challenges faced by Hmong Americans and to ensure their full participation in U.S. society. We are the only leading national policy advocacy organization for the Hmong American community. Over the years, HND has become a national leader in advocacy, policy, and capacity building for Hmong communities.
Significant milestones include advocating for Hmong veterans’ rights, working with the USDA to support Hmong farmers, and securing legislation that expanded education access for Hmong students. HND has also been instrumental in developing leadership through youth programs and its renowned Hmong National Development Conference, which serves as a platform for advancing community initiatives and building nationwide partnerships​
