Civil Rights

Hmong communities throughout the United States continue to suffer from hate crimes, racial profiling, and discrimination. Many Hmong live in rural communities that lack diversity and are subjected to racism on a daily basis. Hmong youth are bullied and harassed at school, and Hmong employees suffer from discrimination in the workplace.

Moreover, many Hmong community members are disenfranchised from the political process due to limited English proficiency. In order to build a thriving community, Hmong community members need to have their safety ensured and their rights protected, on the streets, in their homes, and in the workplace.
