Well, here’s your chance! What more than to turn that idea into action by joining HND, the City of Appleton, and the national Hmong American community this spring with a workshop at the 14th Annual Hmong National Conference.

The 14th HNC will address the challenges and opportunities associated with forming, entering and participating in community partnerships. The widespread pursuit of partnerships and collaborative relationships is one of the most significant trends in community organizing and development. Whether it is collaboration among local institutions or efforts to bring together diverse groups of neighborhood residents, community organizations throughout the United States are recognizing the importance of partnerships for leveraging resources, building power, strengthening the democratic process, and achieving meaningful neighborhood change.

This Call for Presentations is to broaden the opportunity for HND partners, members and others to provide timely and innovative information concerning effective community solutions and collaborations that support Hmong community progress. Sessions should be hands-on and interactive in nature and take the form of workshops, panel presentations, or roundtable discussions.

Submissions under the Call for Presentations should fall within one of the 6 tracks listed below.  Preference will be given to presentations that include discussion of some aspect of partnership building e.g. developing sustainable partnerships, leadership development, and/or engaging in and sustaining non-traditional partnerships.

All workshops will be 1 ½ hour sessions and categorized into the following tracks:13th HNC Workshop Photo Still 1
